The aroma of coffee lingers in the air
Each building I pass more beautiful than the next
There is a freshness, an excitement here that I’ve never quite known
Fresh flowers, trees in bloom, and cool crisp Spring air
It keeps hitting me
Each time I look around
To take in my new gorgeous surroundings
I made it
Hello from the other side

As I ride up the cable car
Fresh crisp air hitting my face
Taking it all in
I’m left with feelings of longing for home
Mixed with regret that I’ll never see the entire world
Just snapshots
Moments frozen in time
Forever encapsulated by the lens of a camera
I wish we lived longer
Long enough to explore the true beauty of the world
Long enough to appreciate what we have
And the wonders of nature
And its crisp clean air
